I've done a bunch of work figuring out how other Tamas work, but don't have any big grand writeups for them. Still, my notes and datamined stats should be more prominently featured (they've been stored on this site forever now, but I've just been sending links to them directly)
- Angelgotchi
- Genjintch
- Tamaotch
- Yasashii
- Yasashii Character Stats
- Yasashii Technical Notes
- Yasashii Timeline Simulator
- Given the character name and the time it evolved/hatched, print a simulated timeline of events (hungry heart drop, happy heart drop, poop) and the expected times.
- For example, you could enter
python yasashii_timeline.py Michelletchi 2026-09-08T17:18:00
and it will print the whole list out.
- Because the main thing is timing poop, I added a separate flag to just print the expected next time to poop (based on when it evolved/hatched/pooped - the argument to the program). For example, entering
python yasashii_timeline.py MametchiYoungerBrother 2026-09-08T17:18:00 -g
should print 09:25: 🚽
- Finally, I added an option to take into account pause times. For example, if my Mametchi Younger Brother pooped at 2026-09-08T17:18:00, but I paused from 07:00-07:59 (with 07:00 being a minute it was paused and 07:59 being the first minute it was unpaused), then from 08:15-08:30 on 2026-09-09, I can create a file pauses.txt with the following contents:
2026-09-09T07:00:00->2026-09-09T07:59:00
2026-09-09T08:15:00->2026-09-09T08:30:00
then running python yasashii_timeline.py MametchiYoungerBrother 2026-09-08T17:18:00 -g --pauseTimes pauses.txt
returns 10:39: 🚽
one hour and 14 minutes later than what it would have done normally.
- (of course, I would always set my alarm a little before this to make sure I didn't miss it)
- Morino
- Morino Character Stats
- Morino Technical Notes
- Morino Timeline Simulator
- Invoked in the same way as the yasashii_timeline.py, but has a bunch more command-line flags since the Morino has a lot more variables that don't reset on evolution. Note that when attacks and poops occur is a function of the happy and hungry hearts (respectively) - I assume that you are keeping hearts topped out. If you don't, the timeline probably won't be accurate for attacks or poops.
- Umino
As always, a huge amount of the credit goes to azya (twitter, github) who dumped all of the ROMs from the decapped images. None of this would be possible without them!!
